Bachelor(ette) Fantasy League

Complete rules

Definitions:
"player" will refer to the person playing fantasy Bachelor/ette, also known as "owner" of a team.

"contestant" will refer to one of the contestants on the show.
"free agent" will refer to a contestant currently not on a player's team


League Commissioner:
1. League commissioner has the final say in any score dispute.
2. League commissioner oversees the free agent pool and approves any roster changes.
3.  League commissioner is responsible for updating player rosters as changes are made.
4. League commissioner is responsible for collecting $5 fees from each player and for procuring the bottles of wine to be awarded as prizes to the winning teams, as defined below.


Scorekeeper:
1. Scorekeeper will update player scores each week.
2. Scorekeeper will keep score during the "viewing parties" while watching the episodes.
3. Scorekeeper will note all score disputes and time of incident to report to the commissioner in the event that the commissioner is not present to settle the dispute.
*Scorekeeper and commissioner can be the same person



Publisher:
1. The publisher will submit an episode review at their earliest convenience each week.
*Publisher and commissioner can be the same person


The Draft:
1. The draft occurs after the first episode (introduction) is viewed.
2. A random number generator will assign a draft order
3.  The second round of the draft will occur "snake style", which means that the draft order from the first round occurs in reverse.
4. Each team will contain two contestants until there are 11 or fewer contestants left competing in  the show.
 

Season Play:
1. Once enough contestants are eliminated such that all teams cannot have two contestants each, all teams drop to 1 contestant and the remaining contestants enter the free agent pool, available for pick up to any player's team.
2. The final episode for points scored occurs the week prior to hometown dates
.


Roster Changes:
1. All roster changes must be submitted to the commissioner by at least an hour before the next episode airs in order to avoid spoilers.
2. In the event that two players select the same free agent, the free agent will be awarded to the player with the lowest overall points.  (If tied for fewest overall points, the contestant goes  to the victor of a rock/paper/scissors contest).
3.  If a player would like to drop both of their contestants, the first change will be handled as outlined above and the second contestant will be handled after all other roster changes are made.


Scoring:
1. Scoring will occur at a "viewing party" by players yelling out the points as they occur.
2. "Viewing Parties" will occur at the residences of one of the players when convenient for the host and majority of players.
3. Score disputes will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the commissioner.


Winning:
1. The champion of the league will be awarded to the team with the highest overall score prior to hometown dates.

2. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be decided by the contestant who lasts longest in the competition.
3. The champion will win a free dinner & drinks at a location of their choice (within reason) paid for by the other members of the league.
4. The person who has the overall winner on their team wins a bottle of wine paid for from the $5 league fees.
5. The person who has the next bachelor/ette on their team wins a bottle of wine paid for from the $5 league fees.
6. Teams are ineligible to win if they did not contribute the $5 league fee.
